allowed to participate in practices until all
documentation has been turned in to the team's
head coach or paperwork coordinator. Note:
All forms can be downloaded from the Forms Page.
Q : What football equipment
is supplied by the league, and what equipment do I
need to purchase?
A : The league will provide the following :
helmet, chinstrap, shoulder pads, rib pads, thigh
pads, knee pads, game and practice pants and
shirts. Players are responsible for providing
their own mouthpiece, girdle, hip pads, and tailbone pad, as
these items are considered undergarments. Also,
players must provide any ancillary equipment
(gloves, forearm pads, padded chinstraps, etc.)
they wish to use.
Q : How are football
players assigned to teams?
A : Players are assigned to one of the
divisions (A, B, C, D, and Mites) based on a
combination of weight, age, and playing
experience. The minimum and maximum playing weights are as
follows:

Players will be placed on the most appropriate
team by the coaches based on age and size, in
accordance with league bylaws. Final placement of
players will be made by KPPW.
Q : How are cheerleaders
assigned to teams?
A : Cheerleaders are assigned based on age
and team structure considerations, such as the
number of girls in a particular age group (if one
team is oversized, and the next level up is
undersized, some of the older girls might be moved
up to balance the squads), family considerations
(keeping siblings at the same level to simplify
travel arrangements), etc.
Q : Why are the
registration fees so much higher than some of the
other youth sports?
A : Equipment. KPPW wants to ensure the
safety of our football players, and so will not
allow them to wear outdated, worn out, or cheap
equipment. The equipment has a finite life span,
and must periodically be replaced in order to
ensure its quality. Also, the uniforms worn by our
cheerleaders are very expensive, and require
regular replacement as well. KPPW also does not ask our children to sell raffle tickets or other items as fundraisers.
Q : Can I get a refund if
my child decides not to play?
A : Refund requests must be made by the
earlier of a) July 31st, b) equipment
handout or c) the first day of practice to
receive a full refund (less the $10 processing
fee included during registration). Refund
requests received after this date AND before
roster certification, will be refunded at 50%.
After the rosters are certified, NO
refunds will be issued.
